Victoria State Nationals
28-29 JANUARY 2017 MELBOURNE MRCCR TRACK - AUSTRALIA
The 2017 Victorian State Championships was held at the beautiful MRCCR track in Melbourne last weekend. This race was the first time an Australian event has used the points system in qualifying.
Qualifying started on Saturday with 5 rounds, and I was able to secure TQ in both classes (1/8 & 1/10) winning 4 out of 4 rounds to get the weekend off to a good start.
Sunday bought the finals with 10th scale up first; after 25 minutes my Proto works amazing and I held a comfortable lead until, unfortunately, engine failures brought my race to an end!
8th scale was up next and had perfect start to lead the final from start to finish winning by over 2 laps. The car was fast and consistent for the whole race and the perfect job of my pit crew made the rest. Looking forward to meet you at next races all over the world!
