SPEED KING TOUR ROUND 1
NAGOYA MARCH, 5 2017
The opening race of the six round Speed King Tour took place on March 5th at the Rajikon Tengoku Nagoya track in Japan with Infinity driver Akio Sobue taking the win. Returning to his local track after back to back international races at the TITC in Thailand and the ETS in Germany, the event marked Akio’s first home race since joining the team. While tricky conditions left many drivers struggling in qualifying, Akio would go on to top all three rounds to secure the overall TQ. In the single 7-minute A-final, Akio’s form continued with him taking his ProtoTC to victory, the race day providing him with useful track time to build up his knowledge of the car.
