ACI Italian Cup
Arezzo
24-25/05/2025
After a day of free practice on Saturday, the race kicked off on Sunday morning.
Following the controlled practice session, I was sitting in P1 and feeling great about the car; its behavior matched the track characteristics perfectly. I was confident about a strong performance, but unfortunately, things took a bad turn in Q1. I got tangled up with a backmarker, which forced me to retire. The worst part? The car took heavy damage. Despite some serious work in the pits, I struggled with unpredictable handling in the following heats. I wrapped up qualifying in P3, a bit disappointed considering the pace we had shown earlier.
For the finals, I replaced the most unbalanced components and managed to regain enough competitiveness to fight at the front. I even managed to win A2, climbing back to a P2 overall finish; something that had seemed out of reach just hours earlier.
Luckily, next weekend is the ETS season opener in Apeldoorn… Time to pack up and see you all there!
