Last weekend, Lidköping RC Club hosted the Swedish Championship for 1:10 and 1:8 scale Nitro. The track was a joy to drive — fast, technical, and truly one of the gems of northern Europe.
Alex delivered an outstanding performance, securing TQ in the 1:10 class, setting the fastest lap, earning the title of Best Junior Driver, and ultimately being crowned Swedish Champion with his Infinity IF15-2.
The car performed flawlessly throughout the weekend, proving competitive on both large and small tires. For the final, Alex had the flexibility to either run the full race on one set or opt for a tire change mid-way. Despite the track’s high tire wear, he chose to drive smoothly and avoid the risks associated with a pit stop.
His gap over Edwin Kvarnström at the finish was solid, but Edwin’s pace meant there was no room for mistakes — Alex had to stay sharp from start to finish.
Fully satisfied with this result, Alex is now recharging for the upcoming ETS (Euro Touring Series) round in Aigen in a few weeks.
