The annual Oslo Open once again provided spectacular racing at Hverven Raceway, with Team INFINITY delivering another outstanding performance across all classes.
On Saturday night finally Francesco won the traditional Midnight Race, one of the most iconic moments of the Oslo Open. After another thrilling race, the Italian finally claimed victory, earning the prestigious Viking horn trophy; a unique symbol awarded only to the winner of this special event.
In the 1:8 category, local driver Adrian Bernsten and his IF18-3 was unbeatable in qualifying, topping every round to secure the overall TQ. Francesco Tironi lined up second on the grid after an excellent qualifying performance and immediately established himself as Bernsten's main challenger in the 45-minute final. The two drivers pulled away from the rest of the field and battled for the lead until an unfortunate incident involving a lapped car forced Tironi to retire while fighting for victory. Martin Lissau inherited second place to complete an INFINITY one-two finish, while Dennis Jonsson rounded out the podium.
Team INFINITY also celebrated success in the Masters +40 category, where Peter Harder dominated the event by securing both the overall TQ and the race victory, in front of Scotty Ernst also with IF18-3, adding another outstanding result to an already successful weekend for the team.
