Infinity claims the 2025 EFRA 1:10 European Championship title with Dario Balestri

After several years of uncertainty, the 1:10 nitro touring class is showing signs of recovery. The over 60 entries in Apeldoorn for the EFRA European Championship are a positive indicator for a category that had appeared to be in decline.

For Infinity, the weekend concluded with a strong result: Dario Balestri took victory in the 45-minute main final, securing his tenth EFRA European title. It was a race managed with experience and precision, where tire strategy and reliability made the difference.

Carmine Raiola completed a well-earned Infinity one-two, staying in contention throughout and fighting for the win until the final stages. Reigning champion Toni Gruber joined them on the podium after a competitive drive from behind.

Qualifying saw Jilles Groskamp, current World Champion, secure the TQ after winning three of the five rounds, followed by Raiola, Balestri, and Rozycki. These four drivers earned direct spots in the final, while the semifinals determined the rest of the grid.

In the early stages of the main, Groskamp set an impressive pace, but a technical issue around lap 70 brought an early end to his challenge for the title. From that point, tire management became the key factor, with lead changes influenced by strategy and wear. Balestri navigated this phase with clarity, taking the lead and maintaining a consistent rhythm through to the finish.

Infinity congratulates all its drivers and customers for their efforts, and is proud to once again be the most represented brand on the grid. The result in Apeldoorn reflects the synergy between team, technical preparation, and the ability to adapt in a highly competitive environment.

See you in the UK for the EFRA 1:8 European Championship in Halifax!
