INF1NITY celebrated an exceptional weekend at the 2026 EFRA 1:8 Onroad European Championship in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, with Dario Balestri successfully defending his European title and leading an outstanding overall performance from the entire team.
The five qualifying rounds were closely contested, with several drivers taking individual TQ runs. Thanks to two fastest qualifying rounds and the tie-break advantage, Dario secured the overall Top Qualifier position. Carmine Raiola also delivered a superb qualifying performance, finishing third overall and earning direct access to the Main Final alongside Balestri.
The strength and consistency of the INF1NITY IF18-3 were evident throughout every stage of the event. Lamberto Collari enjoyed one of his strongest performances of the season, showing excellent pace in qualifying before continuing to fight at the front in both the Semi Final and the Last Chance Qualifier, proving competitive from the beginning to the end of the championship.
Teemu Leino also delivered a very strong weekend, successfully qualifying for the Main Final after consistently running at the front. Unfortunately, a technical issue prevented him from taking the start, denying him the opportunity to fight for a top result.
In the 45-minute Main Final, Dario once again demonstrated why he is one of the greatest drivers in the history of the category. Driving with his trademark precision and consistency, he led the race from start to finish to claim his sixth European Championship title and fourth consecutive EFRA 1:8 Onroad European Championship.
Behind him, Carmine Raiola produced one of the standout drives of the event. Two Stop & Go penalties in the opening laps dropped him to the back of the field, but he never gave up. Showing outstanding speed, determination and consistency, Raiola completed an incredible recovery to finish second, securing a magnificent one-two finish for the INF1NITY IF18-3. Congratulations also go to third-place finisher Filippo Domanin, who produced an impressive comeback in the Main Final to achieve the result he had shown he was capable of throughout practice.
More good news came from the Junior category, where Luca Ielasi delivered an excellent performance to secure second-place finish, adding another podium to an already memorable weekend for Team INF1NITY.
The 2026 EFRA European Championship once again confirmed the competitiveness, reliability and winning potential of the INF1NITY IF18-3 on one of Europe's biggest stages.
